SwimSafer 2.0 — Singapore's national water safety programme
SwimSafer 2.0 progresses from Stage 1 (water confidence) through Stage 3 (stroke development) to the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards — culminating in a continuous 400m swim and advanced deep-water survival skills. It is now part of Singapore MOE's Primary 3 curriculum, and our coaches prepare children ahead of the school programme.
Our coaches
Coach Jingwen has 9 years of coaching experience and holds a National Registry of Coaches (NROC) certification, managed by Sport Singapore. She specialises in children's swimming and has taught swimmers from toddlers as young as 1.5 years old to adults aged 85, from beginners to competitive swimmers.
Monthly lesson fees
All fees are per month, in Singapore dollars, and cover four lessons. Private, semi-private and small-group fees are the total for the class; group classes are charged per child.

Group classes of 4 or more are $120 per child, per month, regardless of pool location. Private, semi-private and small-group fees depend on the pool location and class size, and are the total for the class, not per child. - How quickly will I be matched with a swim coach?
- Most learners are matched within 3 to 7 days, confirmed over WhatsApp before anything is booked.
- Can I request a male or female coach?
- Yes — indicate your preference in the enquiry form and we match accordingly, subject to availability.
- Where do lessons take place?
- At your condominium pool, your landed home pool, or any of the 23 ActiveSG public swimming complexes island-wide.
- Do you offer trial lessons?
- Yes — start with a trial lesson; if it goes well, enrol in paid lessons with your chosen coach.
- Is this aligned with the MOE Primary 3 SwimSafer programme?
- Fully — our curriculum maps to the SwimSafer 2.0 stages used in the Primary 3 programme.
- How do I make payment for group classes?
- Monthly class fees of $120 per child must be paid before the first lesson of each month to Legacy Swim School's designated UEN. Once payment is completed, please notify both the coach and administration team via WhatsApp, together with a screenshot of the payment confirmation.
- What happens if it rains?
- If it rains heavily before class: The coach will inform parents if the lesson needs to be cancelled or rescheduled. Where possible, a double lesson may be arranged for the following week, subject to availability. If conditions permit, lessons will proceed as scheduled, with land-based drills conducted where appropriate. If it rains during class: The coach may continue the remainder of the lesson with land-based drills, where appropriate and safe to do so. All lessons are subject to weather conditions and pool safety requirements.
- What happens if my child is absent?
- If your child is unwell or unable to attend a lesson, please notify the coach via WhatsApp at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. For group classes: Missed lessons are generally not eligible for replacement classes. However, goodwill make-up arrangements, such as attending two lesson slots the following week, may be considered, subject to availability and the coach’s agreement. For private 1-to-1 lessons: Please check with your coach to see if an alternative lesson day can be arranged, subject to availability. If rescheduling is not possible, the missed lesson may instead be compensated through an additional 15 minutes per lesson over the next three one-hour sessions, subject to the coach’s availability.
- Are monthly class fees prorated?
- Where possible, monthly fees will remain fixed rather than being prorated, with the aim of delivering four lessons per child each month. Any necessary changes due to scheduling or unforeseen circumstances will be communicated by the coach or administration team.
- What should my child bring to class?
- Please ensure your child brings the following items: Swim board — for kicking and technique drills. Swimming goggles — for comfort and visibility in the water. Swimming cap — provided by the coach. Optional but recommended: A flask of hot Milo or another warm beverage, especially if your child tends to feel cold during or after lessons.
